Please note that all South Carolina DHEC rules and regulations will be followed. Unsafe practices will result in disqualification.

Raw or undercooked food will result in disqualification.

This event is sanctioned and judged by the South Carolina BBQ Association. The rules and regulations for this organization will be followed. Marshalls and judges will be onsite during the event.

Teams are welcome and encouraged to cook and sell portions of grilled and barbequed items. The event will not monitor the sale of these items nor will the event request monies from these sales. The event does ask that teams not sell full meals – we would like for every team to have an opportunity to sell their product. The event will provide 2-oz. tasting cups for each team. The event will also supply 1# boats for product sales and 9-inch containers for entry submissions.

There is no electricity at the site.

Teams are responsible for providing hand washing stations and waste water capture.

Alcohol cannot be consumed in marked containers.

This event is to raise money for charity. To encourage this, we ask that each team place a container for votes as “Fan Favorite” - $1.00 per vote. These monies will be earmarked for the charitable organization.

Teams are also encouraged to decorate their booths to compete for the “Best Dressed” trophy.
